Digital Portfolio Resources
Prepared originally for Holt High School’s English Department as they began exploring how to use digital portfolios in their school, this page will be updated with links to relevant digital portfolio information.
Thinking about Web-Based Design and Content Management Systems
- Web-based portfolios are ones that a student designs from the ground up using an HTML editor and other tools to create his or her own web site, but have a higher learning curve than CMS.
- Content Management Systems are online tools that allow users to add content and offer other interactive features, but don’t allow total control over design like building your own web site would.
- Discussion – Why is this difference important in our teaching and students’ learning?
